From Mindless Scrolling to Mindful Skincare
Is a self-care routine required? Yes, diving straight into it, I have to tell you that consistency is the key. Showing up every single day and working towards your goal is the only way.
If you are someone who doesn’t believe in regular self-care, then this article may not be for you.
Even though these are simple things like taking a shower daily or meditating for ten minutes, they require a habit cultivation phase. Each form of self-care requires regular effort. Skincare is no different.
Information regarding skincare on the internet is all over the place. Especially with skincare products having had a boom in recent years, companies launch products with the hope of them going viral thanks to the short-form video content that is growing immensely across social media platforms. Every viral ingredient has its fair share of products on the market. What it lacks, though, is information on how to incorporate them into a routine.
Content creators, too, don’t receive insights if their routines are followed. Much of their social media interaction has remained the same, influencers and creators needing to post content to engage with the audience.
I’m building a social engagement platform called Glowy. Glowy allows creators to engage with their audiences by creating daily and weekly routines and helping them build habits to achieve goals instead of mindless scrolling and consumption.
We are starting with skincare content creators and beauty influencers and will roll out other categories, such as dermatologists.
